Please note that while you can attend any class once you’ve purchases a pass or membership, regular class passes cannot be used for Flamenquitos or AFDC Rehearsal class.
Flamenquitos Passes
For our littles that are trying out flamenco for the first time, you can purchase a one month pass. If your little is already committed to learning flamenco (Olé!), you can sign up for a monthly recurring membership.
Introduction to Flamenco
For our Intro students, you’ll purchase the “Introduction to Flamenco” class pass. Each intro series is 6-weeks long and good for either the Tuesday or Saturday introduction to flamenco classes.
Class Descriptions
Intro/Beginner: The intro and beginner classes focus on teaching the foundational elements of flamenco dance. In this series, students will learn and work on:
Compas: Staying in rhythm. The most important part of flamenco is being able to listen to, recognize, and dance to the beat of flamenco.
Floreo: The art of hand flourish and stylization. A beautiful floreo can enhance the presentation and “aire” of your dance.
Braceo: Learning the proper arm movement technique
Marcaje: Marking time while in compas.
Palmas: Learning the various flamenco hand clap techniques and how to make them sounds great!
Footwork technique: Being able to execute proper and clean footwork.
Colocación: Body posture and overall “feeling and looking flamenco”.
